Life on campus goes far beyond the classroom.  Located in the center of campus, the Department of Campus Activities is the place for students to study or hang out with friends, attend movies and events and explore new ideas and activities. The Campus Activities team plans concerts, trips, arts and cultural events, and more, all of which are offered to students at low or no cost. 

Opportunities for Students


Life as a Catamount is full of opportunities to be involved and make a difference.  With over 170 recognized student organizations including academic interest groups, sports clubs, social groups and spiritual interest groups, you're sure to quickly find your place here.



The Department of Campus Activities produces hundreds of events and activities for students each year.  Students play an important role in bringing acts and events to campus by involvement with the Last Minute Productions student programming board and the Arts and Cultural Events series committee.  For more information contact Stephanie Sue Rowell.



Committed to student growth and development, we provide students the formal and informal leadership opportunities they need to prepare students to be active participants in their communities after graduation. New students can jump right in and get involved with Cat Camp - a leadership retreat for new first year students - and the Freshman Leadership Institute.


LEAdership minor 


Students interested in making an impact on university decision-making and wanting to play a leadership role on campus can serve on the Student Government Association.  Students who serve on the Student Government Association gain skills and experiences valued by potential employers.
