Dr. Broomell studies how infants and children control their words and actions and the development of the prefrontal cortex. She uses EEG and behavioral tasks to measure executive function and social cognition in both typically and atypically developing children.<br><br>Current lab studies:<br>Executive function, EEG, and physical activity in a local preschool<br>Infant inhibitory control and social behavior in high risk sample<br>Middle school emotion regulation and social behavior<br><br><br><b>Dr. Broomell is currently accepting graduate students in the SSP, MS, and PsyD program as well as undergraduate research assistants. </b><b>If you are interested in early childhood socio-cognitive development, neuroscience, parenting, or psychopathology please apply. </b>
