George Sherrill Collection
George Dexter Sherrill (1879–1931) opened the first photography studio in Haywood County on Depot Street in downtown Waynesville in 1902. The studio served as the major hub of Waynesville photography for most of the 20th century. Gift of the Haywood County Historical Society.
