Kendall Harris

Kendall Harris

Second Year as Honors Ambassador
Major: Communications
Hometown: Sevierville, TN

Hello! My name is Kendall Harris and I'm from Sevierville, TN. I am a senior pursuing a degree in communication with a concentration in broadcasting. My goal is to work for public affairs departments in universities! I have been a volunteer for WCU's radio station, WWCU FM since my freshman year and, beginning May 2021, I will be the student General Manager for the station! Beginning in 2019, I have had the privilege to be a Brinson Honors College mentor for incoming BHC freshmen. I am also a campus tour guide so, if you have come for a tour or open house, you may have seen me! I love being a BHC Ambassador and am pleased to be serving as co-lead ambassador for the 2021-2022 school year. I am proud to be a Western Carolina University Brinson Honor's College student and I'm beyond thankful to have found my place here.

Joslyn Stinson

Joslyn Stinson

First Year as Honors Ambassador
Major: Interior Design
Hometown: Conover, NC

Hey, y’all! My name is Joslyn Stinson, and I am a new Brinson Honors Ambassador this year. I am currently a senior in the Interior Design program and am even more passionate about my major than when I was a freshman in 2018. Since coming to WCU, I have added two minors (Mathematics and Business Administration), and I have become actively involved in more than ten organizations. As an ambitious student leader, I have come to know and appreciate two things that have challenged me that I want to share with you: comparison hinders your potential to grow and creating a personal standard of success lessens the pressure of others’ expectations. College puts you into a position of individual responsibility; my hope for every student is that they accept this place by living their life boldly by their standard, honing strengths, improving weaknesses, and never straying from challenges.
