Thank you for visiting WCU’s School of Engineering + Technology site for the Engineering Capstone Projects. Over the academic year, we had 84 students working on 25 sponsored projects. The WCU Engineering Capstone projects run for two semesters, beginning in the fall semester and ending in the spring semester. The program partners students from our four degree programs: Engineering (Mechanical concentration), Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology. Teams dedicate two semesters to solve challenging, open-ended engineering problems posed by our industry sponsors. Topics span automotive, aerospace, military, medical, and outdoor gear, to name a few. Listed below are links to the Capstone Project posters. We have also included a link for a Call for Capstone Projects. After reviewing the posters, if you have any questions, or if you would like to discuss a potential project for the upcoming year, please contact Dr. Andy Ritenour at aritenour@wcu.edu or 828.227.2177. We hope you enjoy the wide variety of projects and the great work our engineering students have accomplished!
In each panel you'll find a link to capstone project poster presentation for further exploration. Discover the hard work of our students below...
